Roles and permissions
What admins, editors, approvers, reviewers and viewers can do in a project, how organization roles work, and what people invited by email can do without an account.
EndCreditsPro has two kinds of people: team members, who sign in and have a role on the project, and people you invite by email, who open a private link and need no account. This page lists what each one can do.
Project roles
Every team member has one role per project. You set it in the project’s Team page, under Role.
| Role | In short |
|---|---|
| Admin | Full access. Manages the team, deletes the project and episodes. |
| Editor | Edits the credits, imports, renders, sends requests and approval phases. Can’t manage the team. |
| Approver | Views, comments and sends collaboration, review and share requests. Can’t edit the credits. |
| Reviewer | Views and comments. |
| Viewer | Read-only. |
The person who creates a project is its Owner. The owner always has admin access, and nobody can change the owner’s role or remove them from the team.
The Approver role doesn’t sign off
The Team page describes Approver as someone who approves or rejects, but sign-off doesn’t go through this role. Approvals are given by the people listed in the project’s Approval workflow, from the link they get by email when their phase starts, whether or not they have an account. A team member with the Approver role can view, comment and send requests to collaborators and reviewers. To give someone a vote, add their email to a phase of the workflow. See Sign-off.

Notes:
- Notes can only be edited or deleted by the person who wrote them.
- Files (images and fonts) can be uploaded by any member of the project or its organization. See Import limits for the accepted files.
- While an approval run is in progress, nobody can edit the credits, whatever their role. See Troubleshooting.
Organization roles
Projects belong to an organization. Every account gets its own organization, and you can be invited to other people’s. The organization has two roles, set under Organization role when you invite someone:
| Organization role | Can do |
|---|---|
| Admin (and the organization’s owner) | Everything a collaborator can, plus: rename the organization, invite, edit and remove members, set the approval workflow that new projects start with. |
| Collaborator | See the organization’s projects, create new projects, use and upload organization files (images and fonts shared by every project). |
To bring someone into a project:
- Invite them to the organization with Invite new member. They get an email and create an account if they don’t have one.
- In the project’s Team page, click Add member, pick them from the organization’s members and choose their role.
People you invite by email (no account)
These people get a private link by email and never need to sign up. Each link works only for what it was sent for.
| Who | Sent from | What they can do | How long the link works |
|---|---|---|---|
| Collaborator | Request collaboration on a group in the Data tab | Add and correct the credit lines of that one group, mark them Verified or To review, and submit. Locked lines are read-only. | 1, 3, 7, 15 or 30 days, until someone submits or you cancel. |
| Reviewer | Request review on a group in the Data tab | Mark each line of that group as verified, or leave a note on a line with a problem, and submit. | 1, 3, 7, 15 or 30 days, until someone submits or you cancel. |
| Share guest | Share in the Composition tab | Watch a read-only preview of the credits and leave comments, attributed to their email. | 1, 3, 7, 15 or 30 days, or until you Revoke it. |
| Approver | Their email on a phase of the Approval workflow | Watch the credits, comment, and approve or request changes when their phase is active. | Until the run returns to the editing phase or they’re removed from the phase. A reminder resends the same link. |
Nothing an external person sends changes your credits by itself: you accept or decline collaborations and reviews, and comments stay comments. Invitation emails are sent in English, Spanish or Catalan, chosen when you send them.
